With each passing year, yoga is gaining acceptance as the best means to physical health and inner peace. That’s why Ekattva Yogshala regularly hosts yoga teacher training batches and meditation retreats in Rishikesh for students and yoga enthusiasts. In this series a special introductory program was organized for a Chinese group of students in February 2017.

Attended by 22 students, the program gave young students the opportunity to explore yogic heritage of Rishikesh, participate in meditation sessions, and discuss yoga related queries. Here are the highlights of the interactive session held in February 2017 at our yoga retreat in Rishikesh:

Knowledge exchange on Rishikesh

The program started with introduction of Rishikesh which has its place in history as the birthplace of yoga. Students were eager to know about the ancient place which has been attracting yogis from across the world from time immemorial. The interactive session conducted at the yoga teacher training centre was a huge success and taught our Chinese guests about ‘karmabhumi’ of yogis.

Session with Swami Chidananda Saraswati

Finding time from his busy schedule, Swami Chidananda Saraswati, head of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, organized ‘Satsang’ and interactive session with our students at his ashram in Rishikesh. The holy saint spoke on the ancient history of yoga and its many benefits. The spiritual guru also shared his thoughts on meditation for inner peace. The students benefited greatly from the interaction with Swami Chidananda Saraswati.

Interaction with Yoga students groups

Yoga Alliance recognized Ekattva Yogshala is visited by groups of students and aspiring teachers from across the world. Hence, we arranged an interaction session amongst student groups to facilitate sharing of knowledge and experience. In addition to this, a meditation session was organized for the visiting Chinese students which gave them a taste of the ancient art.

Manohar Ji and his team successfully organized the introductory program for the Chinese students. No wonder Ekattva is quickly emerging as one of the best yoga teacher training schools in Rishikesh, India under his leadership.
